SCHOLARSHIPS

The Ivy Centennial Foundation, Incorporated (ICF) was established by a group of African American sorority women in the Culver City/West Los Angeles area of Los Angeles County.  They established this foundation in Culver City, California as a public charity.  These women were members of the Mu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  They established ICF with the intent of improving the lives of vulnerable populations and communities of color.

The mission of the foundation is very much focused on education.  In supporting the ongoing achievements of its scholarship recipients beyond high school, The Ivy Centennial Foundation:

  1. Cultivates and encourages high scholastic and ethical standards.

  2. Maintains a progressive interest in college life experiences, and progress of its scholarship and award recipients.

  3. Advocates community service from its scholarship applicants.

  4. Prepares a college send-off event for its scholarship and award recipients.

  5. Encourages recipients to maintain high academic averages and to avail themselves of the counseling and mental health resources offered at the institution where they matriculate.

ICF distributes scholarships and awards throughout Los Angeles County based on both need and academic average.

The Foundation awards scholarships to eligible high school students that provide financial assistance in obtaining a college degree and/or certification.  The funds are provided upon receipt of evidence of enrollment in an accredited college or university.

Mission Statement:  The Ivy Centennial Foundation will promote education and academic success, cultural enrichment, and foster health—physical, mental, and financial well-being for vulnerable populations and communities of color in Culver City/West Los Angeles and around the globe.
